Sponsorship Changes Everything!

Does sponsorship really make a difference? Absolutely! Although we strive for integrity in all aspects of our ministry, you don’t need to just take our word for it.

See what some of our sponsored kids have to say. See what our sponsors have to say. See what the research has to say. In the end, we have no doubt that you will see that sponsorship not only makes a difference, but a life-giving and life-changing difference.

Joan’s Story

Joan is an orphan that grew up through our ministry in Uganda and is now attending university and serving in the Horizon Uganda administrative offices.

Jonathan with Kristy Day

The Day Family

Tim and Kristy Day have sponsored Jonathan for a number of years. They have built a strong bond through letters, small gifts, and visiting Jonathan on Horizon GO Teams. As the Days were leaving from a recent visit, Jonathan ran to catch them and handed them a letter. One part of the letter read:

“I thank God for who you are… What you do for me is a lot. God will reward you.”

For the Days, the reward is watching Jonathan grow into a responsible young man with a bright future.

Sponsored children are:

27-40%

more likely to finish secondary education

80%

more likely to complete university education

30-75%

more likely to become community leaders

40-70%

more likely to become church leaders

Statistics taken from an independent study of children sponsored through Compassion International by Dr. Bruce Wydick, Professor of Economics and International Studies at the University of San Francisco.
