Position:           Administrative Assistant

Status:               Part-time (20 hours/week), hourly
Reports to:      COO

Overview

A highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented individual responsible providing general administrative support to the Operations Team.

Responsibilities

  • Performs general administrative duties such as answering the phone; retrieving, opening, sorting, and distributing incoming correspondence; greeting visitors
  • Processing electronic remote deposit; scanning checks and supporting documentation
  • Processes child deactivations
  • Prints letters and envelopes for monthly donor correspondence; assembles mailings with aid of volunteers; and delivers to the post office
  • Assist in maintaining database by adding any new or revised donor contact information, or updated preferences to donor account
  • Receives, processes with aid of a volunteer, sponsor letters and packages to children three times per year. Prepares packages for GO Teams or international shipment. Ships internationally any child packages left after one month from due date
  • Attends occasional staff meetings, and monthly team meetings
  • Performs other tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Active growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Experience working with functions in Word, Excel, and computer databases
  • High School graduate

Working Environment

  • Standard office environment

Physical Demands

  • Sitting, standing, and/or walking for up to 8 hours per day
  • Significant computer usage
