A New Year!

Greetings to you from your Horizon family as we witness the end of one year and prepare to enter the next!

Your partnership with Horizon in “creating a world of hope through African orphans” is making a significant impact in the lives of thousands of Ethiopian, Ugandan, South African, Zambian, and Zimbabwean kids.

Joan Wenene is a great example.

This vivacious young woman was first sponsored in April, 2006, after her parents died. She grew up in Karego Town in Kabarole District, Uganda.

In May, 2017, Joan attended Horizon’s Young Adult Leadership Training (YALT) Conference in western Uganda. While there, she determined that God is directing her to join Horizon Uganda’s staff as the Administrative Assistant in its western regional office.

To help prepare her for this ministry assignment, Joan has received a full Horizon scholarship, enabling her to study computer science at Mountains of the Moon University in the City of Fort Portal.
