Horizon International

For more than 20 years, Horizon has made a difference in the lives of thousands of orphans in dozens of communities across Africa.

We currently work in five African countries: Ethiopia, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

What Makes Horizon Unique?

Orphan Focused

While many organizations serve marginalized and vulnerable children, our sponsorship focus is on the orphan. We serve the orphan in accordance with the mandate from the Lord in Scripture.

Church Based

We partner with local churches both in Africa and in the United States. Most of our sponsorship comes through local churches and much of our ministry in Africa is facilitated by and through local congregations.

Local Leadership

We do not have American staff in Africa. All of our local ministries are facilitated through indigenous ministry organizations. Our U.S. leadership visits our centers and partners regularly to maintain accountability.
